Seattle Art Museum (SAM) Exhibit, Jeffrey Gibson: The Hammer

Viewed the current exhibit at the SAM this weekend, Jeffrey Gibson: The Hammer. I was impressed with the talent, artistic and cultural weave interpretations displayed by the artist. Gibson’s intricate work reflects varied influences, including fashion and design, abstract painting, queer identity, popular music, and the materials and aesthetics of Native American cultures.

Gibson combined mediums, culture and history from his personal perspective into an original art form. Photos posted below showcase his talent.
