A Day of Thanks

Thanksgiving is a day of celebrating with friends, family, neighbors and sometimes strangers. It is interesting to hear how people celebrate a common theme throughout the country. A neighbor starts her Thanksgiving Day with a cup of coffee and watching the Macy’s Parade. She is from New York; I enjoyed watching this parade as a child and I grew up on the West Coast.

Whatever your Thanksgiving traditions, enjoy the day and weekend with the people you love, and reach out to those who might be alone, you could make a new friend and then could invite you to a Thanksgiving celebration next year.

I invited a few neighbors for coffee and pumpkin bread tomorrow morning. My afternoon will be with family. I am bringing the pumpkin pie and wine for dinner. I smell a pumpkin aroma from my oven.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Addon: This morning was sunny and a full day of eating. Morning coffee with my neighbors was lively with coffee, tea, cookies, fruit and laughter. I had a break after cleaning up my kitchen to dash around the neighborhood soaking up the sun. Dinner at my brother and sister in laws home was delicious. We watched a dog dog show and football on TV. Time to rest.
