Digital Forsenics Tool Autopsy

During the pandemic I have been learning new skills. Autopsy, is one of the skills I have learned. Autopsy is an end to end open source digital forensics platform. Basis Technology was offering an Autopsy Basic Hands On (Eight Hour Training) online for free; which included a Certificate of Completion at the end of the training. Students learn at their own pace.

The course took me longer than eight hours due to software taking a long time to download. This may be a result of the high usage during the day on the internet. Download time was shorter in the evenings. Installing the Autopsy tool was easy per the instructions.

The training included lectures, videos and hands on learning. There were check your knowledge quizzes that required a passing score of 70%. You could take the quizzes until you passed. I passed most tests the first time. I have used other Digital Forensic tools in the past. I recommend this training for people interested in digital forensics, or for learning how to integrate book knowledge with hands on training. I thought this tool was easy to learn the Autopsy basics in this eight hour training provided by Basis Technology.

There is also a Law Enforcement module available. Check the link for details. I focused my learning on the basic Autopsy training. I think it is a good idea to check out free community sources on the internet.
