GivingTuesday 2020

Today is GivingTuesday, a day designating for sharing goodwill. It is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. This year Covid19 has impacted people throughout the world. Non-profit organizations are hurting and cannot keep up with the demands for their services. A Gallup poll conducted during the coronavirus pandemic shows the percentage of Americans donating to charities hit a new low of 73%. In prior years’ polling, the percentage is usually more than 80%.

Due to the negative impact from Covid19, the IRS is allowing a special rule for enhanced tax deductions for business contributions of food inventory for the care of the ill, needy or infants. More information:

This is an opportunity for people everywhere to connect and support the causes and communities that are important to us.
